Issue certificates for a course
Add a certificate to a course, design its template, and set the completion rules. Certificates are issued automatically when a learner completes the course.
Add a certificate Link to “Add a certificate”
Add a lesson of type Certificate to the course, and choose Edit certificate template.
- Organization name, description, and whether to show your logo.
- Signatory name and title.
- Background style.
- Certificate validity, if certificates should expire.
The learner's name and a certificate ID are filled in automatically for each learner. Template changes apply to every certificate issued for the course.

A certificate is issued automatically when a learner completes every required lesson and passes the final assessment. On the course's Settings tab you can also turn on Require all lessons viewed and Require passing quiz.
See issued certificates Link to “See issued certificates”
The Certificates screen lists every certificate issued, with search, a status filter, and counts of certificates issued, issued this year and expiring in 30 days. You can download any certificate as a PDF.
