This is an initial planning estimate based on the information provided. A technical review is required to confirm scope and timeline. It is not a quote, and it does not guarantee compatibility, migration duration or delivery dates.
Recommended migration plan
- DiscoveryInventory courses, data structures and integrations.
- Sandbox MigrationImport representative learners, courses and records into a test environment.
- ValidationVerify content, enrollment history, certificates and authentication.
- Production MigrationMigrate approved datasets and remaining content.
- LaunchSwitch users to Sublime and monitor rollout.
Requirements detected
A detected requirement is not the same as confirmed support. Anything not available in Sublime today is marked for technical review.

How the LMS migration estimator works
The estimator uses fixed, explainable rules rather than AI. Each answer about your platform, scale, content, history, integrations and requirements adds to one of eight complexity components, and the total places your migration in one of three bands. To check whether your organization is prepared for an LMS project, use the LMS Readiness Checker.
Migration complexity bands
- Standard Migration: A typical content and user migration with limited integrations.
- Structured Migration: Historical data or multiple content types require mapping and validation.
- Advanced Migration: Multiple integrations, large historical datasets, compliance records, custom structures or complex authentication require technical planning.
How long does an LMS migration take?
A standard migration with limited integrations typically takes a few weeks. Migrations with historical records and mixed content often take one to two months, and advanced migrations with compliance records, SSO and several integrations can take three months or more.
What affects LMS migration cost?
The biggest factors are the number of courses and learners, content formats such as SCORM and xAPI, how much learning history must be preserved, certificate and compliance records, single sign-on and the integrations that need rebuilding.
How do you migrate from Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard?
Export users, enrollments and completions, collect original SCORM packages and course files, map historical records to the new platform, test a representative sample in a sandbox, then migrate in planned waves.
What belongs on an LMS migration checklist?
A course inventory, a data export sample, a field mapping for historical records, certificate issue and expiry dates, an SSO test plan, an integration list with owners, a sandbox migration, validation sign-off and a learner launch message.
How do you migrate SCORM content?
Collect the original SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 and xAPI packages, record each package's standard, and test completion and score tracking in the new platform before moving the full library.

LMS migration estimator: frequently asked questions
How is my migration complexity calculated?
A fixed set of rules adds complexity for each answer, for example SCORM content, custom LMS data, historical records, certificates, compliance evidence, SSO and integrations. The total places your migration in the Standard, Structured or Advanced band, and the report lists the drivers behind it. No AI decides your result.
How accurate is the timeline?
It is an initial planning range built from typical phase durations for your band. A technical review of your own content and data is required to confirm scope and timeline.
Does the estimator say whether Sublime supports my integrations?
Each requirement is shown as either Available in Sublime or Requires technical review. Nothing is presented as supported unless it is available today.
Do I need to upload data or share LMS credentials?
No. The estimator never asks for LMS admin credentials, learner data or files. You only share your contact details to unlock the full report, and we verify your email with a one-time code.
Will I be subscribed to marketing emails?
No. We only use your details to send your report and respond to your request, unless you separately choose to receive updates.
